Course Objective

Wildfires, utiliies, and vehicle emissions require us to monitor and predict air quality trends. Our objective is to detect air quality anomalies using Machine Learning techniques, and work towards predicting when and where air quality thresholds are exceeded. You will use the modern Python geospatial data stack with Pandas, GeoPandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, Google Earth Engine, PySAL & TorchGeo. These tools form the foundational skills for working with GeoAI and can help governments & companies avoid potentially steep emissions fines.
